Deployment Recap: Week 31- He’s home!!!!
It’s all over!
Emotional: Spent most of the week
wishing it would hurry up and be Thursday. Lots of feelings of excitement,
happiness and relief that deployment was finally done.
Physical: Took the week off from
CrossFit but still went running. Very proud of how healthy I stayed the entire
deployment.
Communication: Nothing until Thursday
when he stepped off that boat. But after that, does anything else really
matter?
Something Fun You did This week:
Homecoming preparations- putting up the sign in the chain link fence, a
welcome/final fling potluck and then THE big day.
What are you looking forward to next
week: Relaxing at home with Lyle when he’s not at work, enjoying
all the things we’ve missed doing together the last 7 months.
What made you happy this week: Everything related to homecoming.
What made you sad/mad this week: One small little issue but as a wise woman in my life said “nothing she can say or do will ruin my homecoming”, and as a matter of fact, ruin anything at all in the future. It is SO nice to just walk away from drama.
What do you miss this week: Does this apply anymore?
Favorite song/show/movie of the moment: Daft Punk, Drake, Great Gatsby Soundtrack
